North Bay’s Original

AUTHENTIC INDIAN CUISINE

Indra was born in Punjab, India’s Northwestern state, and moved to England with her family before making a final stop in our very own North Bay.

Indra’s Curry House was started by a family passionate about sharing authentic Indian food with the North Bay community.

Indra’s favorite dish is Chicken Korma, if you haven’t tried it yet, you should – after all it is the chef’s  recommendation.

Since 2008

When the family moved to North Bay over 30 years ago, they opened a popular restaurant, which you might remember – King’s Head Pub. This restaurant was open for 20 years before Indra decided to retire.

This entrepreneur soon found out that her career as a chef wasn’t over just yet. 17 years ago Indra’s Curry House opened a whole new style of cuisine to the citizens of North Bay.

Mixing Tradition & Creativity

The food served at Indra’s is made by following recipes that have been passed down through generations. Indra’s Curry House serves authentic Indian cuisine straight from the foothills of the Himalayas, an area known worldwide for Tandoori Chicken.

Indra combines authentic spices straight from Northern India. She incorporates fresh, locally sourced ingredients into age-old recipes to give you a taste you might have otherwise found in the Himalayas.

What critics are saying about us

Indra’s is my favorite restaurant. I would eat there every night if a could. Her food is AMAZING! I have not order one thing I didn’t like. And I always try to order something new each time. My favorite dishes are Chicken Korma, Chana Masala, Beef Samosas, Aloo Gobi and Garlic Naan. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! Note to self….order from Indra’s tomorrow night!

Our family had a feast of Indra’s vegetarian fare. It was delectable, comforting and exotic. The vegetable pakora and samosa was a great start to our meal, and several of the entrees (chana masala, makhani dahl, aloo gobi, and mushroom curry) were masterfully cooked and so flavourful. The gulab jamun and kheer were a lovely and sweet compliment to our culinary soirée. Well done, Indra. So thankful to have this wonderful eatery in North Bay!

Always delighted with the service and food from Indra’s. The staff was friendly and helpful. Ordered the chicken tikka masala (spicy) and the chicken bhuna (medium) last night for my partner and I. Both were delicious and we would definitely order from here again. I also wanted to note that I have always had trouble getting restaurants in town to make my dishes spicy, but Indra’s always kills it. If you like or want authentic spicy food, you will not be disappointed.
